I’m currently living in the Hanoi Old Quarter, the historical heart of Vietnam’s capital city. It’s a vibrant and charming area where tradition and modern life blend seamlessly. With its narrow streets, ancient architecture, and the scent of street food everywhere, the Old Quarter offers a true taste of authentic Hanoi. Each street here used to specialize in a specific trade – from silver, silk, paper, to herbal medicine – and even today, many still retain their original character. I love the early mornings here, when the city wakes up with the sounds of street vendors and the smell of fresh bánh mì and phở. Living in the Old Quarter means being surrounded by culture, history, and endless opportunities to explore hidden alleys, try local food, and meet travelers from all over the world. It’s more than just a place to live – it’s a living museum, full of stories and unforgettable energy.
